I've been looking at a bunch of old school cartoon intros, and some new school animations and video artists who emulate this style. Its called retro-futurism for those art school students out there. In this sample title sequence, I tried my hand at making something seem vintage cool with modern technology and techniques.

Testing out a new camera

Testing out a GOPRO 960. Went out and decided to take some test footage with the GOPRO. I was using a tripod head with a handle with the camera mounted to it. Since the camera is so small its hard to keep it stable without having more weight on it. Shooting at 720p lets you capture 60 frames per second, so slowing it down as I did in the video really helps stabalize the footage nicely. It also adds a nice dreamy quality to basically anything you can film.

There was hardly any good footage we shot, we were only out for 30 minutes, and I still had enough stuff that looked interesting enough to cut into a small video. Slowed down and color corrected in AE.
